"The experience at APF language school in Quito has been better than I imagined. The one to one classes are extremely comprehensive and the instructors are incredible to my delight, the home stay has been an unbelievable experience as well. I was staying with a very gracious Spanish speaking family as well other students from other parts of the world with the similar goal of learning Spanish and enjoying the culture. During the week, there is free-time to take salsa lessons, cooking classes, go down town to the museums or just relax, on the weekends there are many opportunities to go to the beaches, the markets, volcanoes or a tour to the Amazon jungle. You will never run out of things to do here! What a great experience!"

Quito Spanish School

Fabulous Quito

Situated more than 2,825 meters in the Andes, in a quaint valley wedged between volcanoes and towering mountain peaks, Quito is without a doubt the most spectacular South American capital. With temperatures that fluctuate between 9 and 23 degrees Quito is a pleasant place to be most of the year. You never need more than a light jacket even in the dead of winter. The City is divided into two halves. The north half is a modern city and contains all the amenities you would find in any other major city of the world. The south half, called "Old Town", clings to its colonial roots. Quito's Old Town is so rich in history that it was declared Humankind Patrimony Cultural Site by Unesco.

The countryside outside of Quito is no less impressive than the City. Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world, and Pululagua, an enormous volcanic crater just a few kilometers from the equator, are both within a one and a half hours of this brilliant Ecuador's capital. Moreover, the world renown artisan community of Otavalo and numerous other worthwhile destinations are also easily accessible from Quito.
